Choose to make a difference this suicide prevention month by learning how you can save a life! 

Research shows that most people would help someone who was thinking of suicide if they knew what to do.    Here are 3 things you can do right now.

safeTALK is on Sept 22 from 9:00-12:30, FREE, at The Sarah Michelle Peterson Foundation.  4500B Colley Ave., Norfolk. (ages 15+) Learn more and sign up here.

Question, Persuade, & Refer is on Oct. 1 from 4:00-5:00, FREE,  in the event space at Maker's Craft Brewery in Norfolk. (ages 15+) Learn more and sign up here.

Mental health affects personal and professional productivity! Adults and youth can learn to identify warning signs for suicide and speak directly about potential issues with their families and coworkers.  We offer a variety of programs including faith-based, teen, school professional, and more.

Chesapeake Public Defenders learning to Question, Persuade, & Refer.  Knowledge and confidence when talking about suicidal thinking is helpful across all types of relationships. Suicide doesn't discriminate among age, race, gender, socio-economic status or other factors.

Here's a look at two more public events taking place in September & a video about our very special event on October 1st.

We will be presenting a program at this conference from 11:15-11:45, and our resource table will be there for the whole event with info. and resources, as well as some cool give-away items with crisis numbers.  It's FREE, and no registration is needed.  Just come on over and sign in!
