November News from a Productive Fall Season

By popular demand, here is the video of Eric "Taking the Plunge" on the Thrivent Shark Tank event.  The original event was not recorded due to not everyone on the platform giving consent, so we made our own recording after the fact.  He explains what we do so well.  See how you like it!

We are excited to announce that we have received a $10,000 competitive grant from the Community Leadership Partners of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation to support our Project 300K initiative.  This project includes a large public awareness campaign to help citizens recognize suicide warning signs, as well as evidence-based training programs to teach people to recognize warning signs and take action when someone may be in danger of losing their life to suicide.  Our project was chosen from many to receive this funding, and we appreciate the Community Leadership Partners of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation recognizing and supporting our work.

We are thrilled to be part the the steering committee of the Youth Sports Mental Health and Wellness Alliance!  Young athletes experience unique stress due to their sports participation which can lead to anxiety and/or depression. We are proud to partner with other alliance members to address the mental health of our area's young athletes.  Watch for more updates about this group and our activities in 2024!
