Why Take Action?

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among children, teens, and young adults, but suicide is preventable. Knowing what to say, when to reach out, and how to access mental health professionals can save someone’s life.

The Sarah Michelle Peterson Foundation provides trainings and workshops that empower individuals to recognize and respond to the signs of suicide. At our programs, we give parents, teachers, coaches, teens, faith-leaders, neighbors, co-workers, – ANYONE – the tools they need to reach out to someone they’re concerned about. When we all work to prioritize both our own and each other’s mental well-being, we save lives.
